REVIEW FROM ukcampsite.co.uk

Reviewer: Ukjude (1) Date of Visit: May 2010 Unit: Tent

Still full from the wonderful Sunday lunch cooked for us by the unnecessarily tall Daz - the chef at the Rose and Crown!
What a wonderful welcome we had at this family run pub - we were made to feel like 'regulars'.
Great place to stay with all the usual amenities - nice, flat pitch for the tent and well away from busy roads. Despite 'work in progress' in the toilet / shower block, it was still clean and with a plentiful supply of hot water.
We're already planning our next visit - hoping to bring some friends with us to enjoy the hospitality.

  1. This is a great place to camp, the pub is crazy and so are the people. Kelvin, Barry, Darren and Trudie are ace!!. They all make you very welcome and the food is very good too!. Went for 1st time at Easter and kelvin said he was going to do some improvements, when we got here for May Bank Hol, he had kept his word, new showers and a brilliant games room/tv room as well. Everyone check this site out you will not be disappointed.
